"Big Mak" Explorer Airbag Page two 30 March 2004
Fitting The front four Torx screws are removed from the filler cap and these spacers fitted before the sub frame is screwed down with the supplied Allen screws. Do not remove the rear two Torx screws or the rubber ring between the tank and the filler may become displaced requiring a strip down of the bodywork.
Sub frame fitted and platter raised.
This is how it looks with the bag removed.
This picture shows the the size of the zip with cover raised.
The bag is pear shaped to give clearance for the bars. I had no difficulty turning the bike "feet up" with the steering against the stop.
The rain cover is made from soft material with a PVC window, elastic around the bottom prevents it from flapping away. This is again, in my opinion an improvement on the Multivario cover which is stiffer PVC and difficult to pack.
